What I Did at Apple

I Would Tell You, But...

Working at Apple has a lot of great perks but unfortunately I am contractually obligated to not disclose any confidential information about my project or other internal Apple information.

What I Learned

While working at Apple, I learned a lot about working in an extremely large organization and with a variety of types of developers. This was my first experience working with high-level machine learning. An additional benefit of working for Apple was becoming more accustomed to working with teams in dramatically different timezones. Overall, it was a marvelous experience that I greatly appreciated.

Would I Go Back?

Simply put, maybe. While I enjoyed working at Apple and for the IS&T team, I would be more interested in working on more client-facing products rather than internal applications. However, I would work for the same Devs Manager in a heart beat.

Conclusion

First and foremost, I learned quite a bit while working at Apple and for that I am very grateful. The friends I made while working there will continue to be my friends despite where we work. Money isn't everything and while Apple paid well, it was the intrigue and mental stimulation that I enjoyed the most. Lastly, the size of the company does not matter. What matters is; the scope of the project, who you work with, where your work can take you, why it matters, how you create a positive impact for others, and when can we get started?
